This was a site I set up when I was first getting Everyday Elements off the ground. I was trying out different things, including WP.com. I ended up with WP.org and the main site is http://everydayelementsonline.com. I would love for you to join us there. I have a long list of free actions, tutorials, video tutorials, workshop options and more.

Thank you!

Amanda

Do you have Photoshop Elements and have hardly utilized it all because you can’t figure out how to use it? Have you tried to edit some photos but can’t get the results that you see others get with the program? Do you hear about “actions” all the time and wonder how the heck to use them? You have come to the right place!

Everyday Elements are online workshops designed to help you learn how to use PSE for portrait editing. There are three different levels of classes, and also a class solely on using actions, so hopefully you will find one that meets your needs.

Each online workshop lasts two hours, during which time attendees will be able to see my screen as I edit photos and hear me describe what I’m doing. They will also be able to type in questions and comments during the workshop. In addition to the two hour workshop, each attendee will receive access to private video tutorials for his/her level within 24 hours of registering for their class. The video tutorials can be viewed before and/or after the class for an undetermined length of time.

Workshops in May and June are $25, an introductory price while I get the kinks worked out. Workshop fees will increases to $40 in July.

Read specific details, dates and time here.

Those attending the workshops will receive a PDF file which details what I will cover during their class, so they can refer back to it later. Attendees can retake the class again for $10. Attendees will also get access to a private area where I will be posting video tutorials.

If you would like to attend a class, click here for class dates/times and to register.

For those wondering about my abilities – I am not a professional, I do not claim to know everything about editing or Photoshop Elements. I have just learned a lot and had many people asking me how I do things. I mentioned doing a class and I had a lot of encouragement and support for it, so I’m doing them.

The Before/After page shows images that I have edited with PSE 7 .

    • Beginners
    • Intermediate
    • All About Actions*

    • Beginners: None
    • Intermediate: Basic knowledge of PSE, can utilize Full edit mode to some capacity
    • All About Actions: Same as Intermediate

  • How to pay: Scroll down on this post, choose the workshop right for you, then pay through Paypal. Please give me the email address you would like the workshop PDF sent to in the box where you can leave messages for the seller.
  • Repeat student discount: Because things don’t always sink in the first time, you may retake a course you’ve taken for $10.

These will be common sense, straight-forward workshops where we focus mainly on editing portraits. I do not a have a highly technical background in PSE, rather lots of hands-on, trial and error experience.

*The All About Actions course will focus only on downloading, installing and using actions in PSE, through the effects palette and the Action Player via Guided Edit Mode.

Ready to sign up for a class? Just pick a class below and pay via Paypal. The code on the Paypal invoice will tell me which class you’ve signed up for. After I receive your payment, I will send you an invitation to the workshop. Follow the instructions and make sure to add it to your calendar so you don’t forget.

If you are planning to purchase PSE but have not yet done so, I highly recommend purchasing through B&H Photo. Their prices almost always beat Amazon’s and their customer service is wonderful! Click on the image of PSE 8 to be taken to B&H to purchase.
